Planning to make your night a success

Once you have registered we will mail you a Host Kit. This Kit will help make it easy to plan and host a great Night In – finalise the theme, send your invitations, fundraising tips and ideas, party recipes and much more. Below is some information to help you plan whilst you wait for your pack to arrive.

Set up your own fundraising page

This makes managing your Girls Night In easier and gives people the option to donate funds online. You can send invitations by email and also upload photos and messages to keep your guests involved and excited. Go to www.justgiving.com/cashforkids make sure you are on the Northsound site and make up your page – it only takes a few minutes and will make donating so easy for your guests.

Decide who to invite

Decide who to invite You can invite whoever you like, friends, family, neighbours and colleagues – it’s your choice. We have made it easier for you to invite your guests, just download the invitation we have designed or design your own free at www.evite.com

Try to raise extra funds

As well as raising funds on the night you can also approach local businesses and ask for their support to boost your funds.

• Many employers match the funds you raise for charity so why not ask
• Ask for a prize you could auction or raffle
• Ask for a cash donation

 

Your local media

If you are planning an event in a public place that is ‘totally wacky or unusual’ perhaps your local media would be interested. Call or email them and tell them what you are doing, when and where it will take place, they may even send a photographer!! Remember wherever you host your event to take your own photos and send the best of them to us after for the website!

On the Night

Have lots of fun with ‘your girls’ and raise money!!

You can either charge a set ‘entry fee’, or ask your friends to donate what they would usually spend on a night out. You could pass an envelope around the room, decorate a ‘donation box’ for the table, have a special ‘piggy bank’ at the door or you may even want to ask your friends to donate before the night. They could even use your ‘justgiving’ fundraising page.

If you are having therapists or some pampering on offer perhaps you could set a price for each treatment. There are many ways to collect donations and it’s really up to you.

After the Event

Bank your donations and return the paperwork
(Please do this before Monday 12th April so we can identify the prize winner host who has raised the most money)

You will need to bank all cash and chequedonations using the pay in slip included in your Host Pack. After banking please send one completed counterfoil (the other is for you to keep as a receipt) along with the completed donation slip (this has Gift Aid details for us to process).
